Fast Begins Wednesday, July 22nd at 8:19 pm and Ends Thursday July 23rd at 8:52 pm (Amherst Times)
Wednesday, July 22nd at 8:55 pm – Evening Service for Tisha B’Av, service includes the reading of the Book of Eicha and recital of Lamentations
Thursday, July 23rd at 9:00 am – Morning service, includes recital of Lamentations, and reading of Eicha at 12:30 pm
7:15 pm – Conclusion of Morning Services and Mincha services for the Fast. This day marks the anniversary of the Destruction of the First Temple at the hands of the Babyonians, and the Destruction of the Second Temple at the hands of the Romans. Service includes Torah and haftara reading. There will be an evening service at nightfall with a light break-the-fast to follow
