Chabad House at Amherst was the major beneficiary of the estate of Lipa (Lawrence H.) Domash a”h. Lipa was a supporter of the Chabad House, attended programming, and was a friend of Chabad institutions for many years.
Lipa was an accomplished physicist, professor and mentor, in addition to being active in spiritual practice for many years. Rabbi Adelman and Lipa would travel yearly to the Rebbe in Brooklyn in preparation for Rosh Hashanah.
Lipa ben Moshe Yaakov a”h, passed away on the 6th of Kislev, 5781, November 2020, and is interred in Chicago.
He bequeathed his 16+ acre property in Conway, MA to the Chabad House in hopes that it would be used to advance Jewish spiritual growth by holding retreats and similar type programming.
Recently, Chabad House has contracted with Rotem and Aura Chaya Gispan to assume stewardship of The Domash Estate, with the intent of advancing the above goals.
